Superior Strength and Precision: 4140 Chromoly Forged Rod Ends

Are you tired of settling for rod ends made from subpar materials? Don’t be misled by flashy terms like “forged” without knowing what’s underneath. When it comes to off-road and performance applications, the material matters just as much as the manufacturing process.

Why Choose Our 4140 Chromoly Rod Ends?

Our rod ends are engineered for maximum durability and performance. We start with a block of 4140 heat-treated chromoly steel, known for its high strength and toughness. Unlike 1018 or 1045 mild steel, which are often used in cheaper alternatives, 4140 chromoly provides superior resilience under extreme conditions.

Our Manufacturing Process:

    1. Waterjet Cutting: We precision-cut the rough shape using advanced waterjet technology, ensuring the material’s integrity and strength are maintained.
    2. Threading: The rod ends are threaded to 1.25”-12, providing a robust connection that can withstand high stress.
    3. Finish Machining: Each rod end is finish machined to exact specifications, ensuring a perfect fit and long-lasting performance.

Complete Assembly:

    • Three-Piece Assembly: Our setup includes a 2" 7075 aluminum tie rod and two chromoly rod ends, providing a balanced combination of strength and performance.
    •  Stock Taper Fit: Designed to fit a stock Dana 60 knuckle, each assembly comes with 4140 hardware, ensuring easy installation and compatibility.
    • Customizable Options: We offer 3/4" and 7/8" straight cut options, each with the correct size reducer spacers. Due to the variability in setups, we leave the choice of bolts to you.

Optional Upgrade:

Need a 2" clamp? We recommend adding the TMR Double Shear Tie Rod Clamp for enhanced durability and stability. This premium clamp is available as an upgrade for an additional $149.99.

Why 4140 Chromoly?

4140 chromoly is a high-strength alloy steel that is heat-treated for enhanced durability. It offers superior tensile strength and toughness, making it the ideal choice for off-road and high-performance applications. Unlike other materials, 4140 chromoly is resistant to deformation, ensuring your rod ends will stand up to the most demanding conditions.

What is a Ball Joint Delete System and why do you need it?  Learn more from American Iron Founder Josh Dodsworth:

We stand by the quality and durability of our products. We will warranty parts found to be defective. The spherical bearings, specifically, also carry a 2 year or 30,000 mile (whichever comes first) warranty. We cannot warranty parts that have been damaged due to improper installation. We will, however, work with our customers on replacing individual parts should they be needed.

Don't take our word for it, hear from real world drivers that use our products and put them to the test everyday.
