Running an 2005+ Dana 60 or Ultimate Duty 60 and need the ultimate strength? Look no further than the Race Series kit. The upper housing is shorter and the upper nut is recessed to allow adequate clearance between it and the RCV Big Bell shafts. While the 2005+ axles have a broader spread between the inncer C things are a bit easier to access, but it's nice to have the extra strength if you think you may need it. Since the housing does not have adequate surface area for a press-fit this upper welds to the knuckle. It comes with a press-fit lower housing you can choose to weld in or simple press in and use the supplied C-clip to retain it on bottom like our other kits and stock joints.
Negative camber has been proven to reduce scrub in racing applications especially when locked or spooled up front, so each Race Series Kit comes standard with a 3 degree bushing. If your needs vary, give us a call and we'd be happy to substitute our other bushings if needed. See John Schaefer's video below to find out why he prefers this variant.
- Maximum clearance between the top of the RCV Big Bell and the nut retaining the upper balljoint
- 3 degree bushing comes standard
- 1.625" spherical bearing with 7/8" bore
- Custom spec'd 4140 hardened upper and lower studs
- For use in race applications with specific needs
*Zinc plating must be removed from welded surfaces prior to installation. Housings must be welded in after being disassembled to avoid damaging Teflon liners of bearings. Recommend 500 degree of pre-heat to knuckle and wrapped in heat blanket/pinged as it cools slowly to avoid cracking of weld
