The Ai-1202 Ball Joint Delete™ System is a press-fit kit with a same install method as a factory joint. It features a split-tapered bushing which expands as preload is added to the assembly ensuring a precise fit. The customer can trim the top flange of the bushing based on caster/camber needs, the kit includes instructions on setup and trimming.

  • Huge 1.625" Teflon lined Spherical Bearings with 7/8" bores
  • All assemblies are greased and lubricated
  • 7/8″ 4140 Hardened custom spec bolts
  • 7/8″ Low profile locknut

Fitment: The Ai-1202 is the perfect solution to a stock truck that has 6+" of lift. Lifting the truck means caster is lost, but can be added back via the 3 degree bushing in our kit. Lower joints are holding the majority of the weight of the truck and typically see less failures but are susceptible to “push out.” This happens when a shaft breaks and pushes the joint out the bottom of the knuckle. The lower system uses the same basic design as the upper, with a 1 piece stud with taper to match the tapered hole in the knuckle.

When swapping a donor axle into say, a Jeep you can run into a compromise between driveline angle and ideal caster. Have that pinion pointed directly at the transfer case output, but only have 3 degrees of caster? Use the 3 degree provided in the Ai-1202 to increase that caster to 6 degrees and you have the absolute best of both worlds- a perfect driveline angle, ideal caster, AND an unbreakable joint on top of it. ABSOLUTELY NO ONE ELSE IN THE INDUSTRY GIVES THIS LEVEL OF STRENGTH AND RIG-SPECIFIC ADJUSTABILITY.

The bushing can be clocked to attain any combination of caster/camber adding to the indicated degree. Want to take a degree of positive camber out of your axle while adding 2 degrees of caster?- no problem. Simply take a look at the chart in the instructions and it'll guide you on how to trim that bad boy.

What is a Ball Joint Delete™ System and why do you need it?  Learn more from American Iron Offroad™ founder Josh Dodsworth:

We stand by the quality and durability of our products. We will warranty parts found to be defective. The spherical bearings, specifically, also carry a 2 year or 30,000 mile (whichever comes first) warranty. We cannot warranty parts that have been damaged due to improper installation. We will, however, work with our customers on replacing individual parts should they be needed.

Don't take our word for it, hear from real world drivers that use our products and put them to the test everyday.
